I didn’t know a person could improve this much in three short weeks! Traveling from Michigan to Memphis to train privately with Dmitri was worth the trip! Some of the summer programs our daughter has attended include Central Penn. Youth Ballet and National Ballet of Canada. None of these compare to the personal one-on-one training she received with Dmitri. Imagine all of this in a kind and caring classroom. His ability to see what is holding a dancer back in training ….creates an environment that is positive, encouraging and easy to learn. Dmitri’s technique has not only eliminated our daughter’s chronic hip pain which she has struggled with for four years, but it has lengthened her muscles and strengthened her back. Her arabesque is quickly improving, her turning more consistent and she has developed a beautiful line.

Dear Dmitri, Let me say THANK YOU so much. Those little secrets of our profession that you have shared with me have brought great results. And it is not just how I feel. I am also getting many compliments from my director and dancers in the company, because they see a big difference and a huge progress. I warmly wish you to have many disciples who are ready to hear you. In my case, your discoveries were the missing link in my ballet technique. I have danced for more than 20 years and I am grateful to you for extending my career.

A truly professional school! It was my daughter’s first year of ballet, and she really loved it! Excellent teachers, wonderful facility. The Nutcracker recital was beautiful, and I was truly impressed at how organized the show was. Excellent place!

My daughter recently had a private lesson with Dmitri Roudnev. He is professional and was very thorough. He is an excellent, knowledgeable teacher and provided my daughter with lots of specific information on how she can improve her ballet technique while preventing injury. Highly recommended!

This is our first year at Roudnev. Both of my girls have enjoyed every class and they love their teacher! It has been a great experience to have two five year olds participate in the Nutcracker performance! It really brought the story to life for every child that participated. Roudnev is a bright spot for Memphis ballet!

We love absolutely everything about this program. Would recommend again and again for anyone interested in classical ballet training in the Russian style.

This is our second year with Roudnev. It is amazing what they are able to accomplish even with 5 year olds. My daughter’s developing technique has come a long way already and she loves it! She is able to use basic ballet vocabulary and demonstrate the positions, etc… I can’t speak highly enough of their teacher, Mandy Possel. They love her and she is such a talent! We always enjoy that our daughter is involved in a production rather than a recital. The location and facility is wonderful as well!

This was my daughter’s first year of dance and she has already learned so much! To top it off, the performance of the Nutracker was just beautiful!

My daughter has gone to the two largest ballet schools in Memphis and we can tell you that if you really want to learn how to properly dance ballet, you need to skip those and go to Roudnev Ballet. Dmitri Roudnev is the best teacher that my daughter has ever had. At the other large studios, my daughter was taught to mimic and copy what the instructor was doing in a class of 20-25 students, never fully understanding or grasping exactly what was being done or shown. At Roudnev Ballet, the class sizes are small so that the children can get the attention they need in order to truly understand the art of ballet. I cannot say enough good things about this studio. My 9 year old said, “Mr. Dmitri is tough but I like that about him. He has taught me more than any of my other teachers all together and he really cares that I learn it correctly. When he says, ‘Good job’, I know I have really done something well.”
